No machine near you yet
What the screen says
No machine near you yet
Walter runs on machines in real buildings and only puts you on one within range, because further away the game stops feeling like a game.
3 things to try
Play anyway puts you on the nearest machine wherever it is. The game runs; the picture and your input travel further, so it may lag.
- Select Play anyway.
- If it lags too much, stop and tell us where you are instead.
This is the only thing that moves a region up the list.
- Select No, tell us on this page.
- Give us your country and the nearest city.
- Say which titles you would play.
Walter places you by where your connection appears to come from, so a VPN exit in another country reads as you being there.
- Turn your VPN off completely. Pausing it is not always enough.
- Reload walter.gg.
- Go to Browse and press play again.
Note Some routers run a VPN for the whole house. If you are not sure, test on your phone with wifi off.
Worth knowing Walter is in alpha and machines are being added region by region. Nothing about this is permanent.
