How does it work?+
Browse Walter’s preinstalled library, press play and Walter spins up a gaming rig for you. Sign in to your own Steam where a game needs it, and play. It all streams to your screen, so you are playing in seconds.
What does it cost?+
Nothing while Walter is in early alpha. Normally you would pay for this; right now you play for free and help us make it better. Curious what the hardware route costs instead? Print your rig bill.
Will it lag?+
Walter’s network is built for smooth, responsive play. In testing we are seeing 10 to 20ms, low enough that it feels like the game is running right there on your screen.
What devices are supported?+
A screen and a browser. That is the whole list. A laptop, a Mac, an old PC, your phone: Walter runs the game on his own rig, so your hardware only has to show the picture. No graphics card, no install. The TV is being wired up next.
Which games can I play?+
Two are tested and live today: Counter-Strike 2 and Warframe. Marvel Rivals, PUBG and Overwatch 2 are in the lab. A title only lands here once we have tested it end to end, and some games fight the rig harder than others. That takes as long as it takes.
What does early alpha mean?+
It means Walter runs, and it is not finished. Today you get a short lineup we have actually tested, free while the alpha runs. Next comes the beta, when the Playground opens: your own handle, invites for your crew, and the lab games this page does not carry. After that the full platform, one library on every screen you own. You are early. That means the odd rough edge, and it means Walter reads what you send him. Which title lands next depends on what that game lets us do, so we promise nothing on any single one.
