Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. Walter uses a few to keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. If you agree, we also use them to see which parts people use and which of our ads work. Every one of them is listed below.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website leaves on your device so it can recognise it on the next request. Some are set by walter.gg directly. Others come from the services we rely on, like our analytics and the ad networks we advertise on. We also use a couple of similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, and treat those the same way.

Always onKeep you signed in, remember that this browser passed the alpha gate, and record your cookie choice. Walter cannot run without these, so they are always on.
Functional
None todayWalter sets no preference cookies at the moment. Your run, your plan and your settings live in your account, not in this browser.
Analytics
With consentShow us which parts of Walter people actually use, so we fix what breaks. Anonymous and grouped, and only after you agree.
Marketing
With consentIf you agree, the ad networks we advertise on (Google, Meta, Reddit and Snapchat) can see when someone who saw an ad visits Walter, creates an account or buys a plan. That shows us which ads work. Some of these signals go from our own server instead of your browser, under the same consent. Say no and none of it happens.

Managing cookies
Change your choice anytime with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Turn Marketing off there and Google, Meta, Reddit and Snapchat stop seeing your visits to Walter and stop using them to show you Walter ads. Each of them also has ad settings in your account with them. You can clear and block cookies in your browser too:

Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and parts of the site. Everything else is safe to turn off.
Changes
When we add or drop a cookie we update this page and the date at the top. When we add an ad company or a new reason to use cookies, the banner asks you again.
