Steam asks you to sign in during a session
Walter never holds your Steam password, so only Steam can sign you in on the machine that runs the game.
2 things to try
- Type your Steam account name and password into the box on the stream. It behaves like any other computer.
- Keep the Steam mobile app or your email within reach. Steam usually asks for a code the first time.
- Tick Remember me before you sign in. Later sessions on the same machine skip this.
The on-screen keyboard covers the field, which makes this harder than it should be.
- Turn the device sideways before you tap the field.
- Type slowly. Every key goes over the stream, so characters can arrive a beat late.
- If a password manager will not paste into the stream, read it out and type it by hand. The stream is a video, so it has no field for the manager to find.
Worth knowing Walter never sees this password. It goes from your keyboard to Steam on the machine, and we hold nothing but your Steam ID.
Did this fix it?
